The Late 1950s/Early 1960s Omega 520 Thread
I keep an eye out for Omegas with 520 movements here on the Forum, but few seem to appear. Is it both uncommon and unloved? The Omega 520 Seamaster here is a shameless hussy, sporting a re-dial of that dial style.

Just have the movement serviced. And no polishing of the case. The seconds hand might be able to be replated but you might be better off getting a close match replacement - ask whichever watchmaker you choose for their advice.
The 520 is a circular lever movement with excellent swan neck regulator and has an extra bridge to accommodate the centre seconds configuration and was a well made and robust movement that had a relatively short life span. It was made at the Marc Favre factory, which Omega had purchased and integrated into its operations in 1955. I know the movement's reference is 1959 but I'm struggling to find the case reference in the Omega vintage db. I've also noticed the 'A' in the logo is flat whereas similar watches I've googled have a pointed top and some don't - a logo change around the 60s I think?!

Exuding a sophisticated allure, Louis Vuitton’s emblematic handbags are imagined in Monogram canvas and leather variations, in an array of silhouettes and shades, to elegantly adorn the crook of one’s elbow or be held in one’s hand.
