He then informed me the Halzan is being discontinued. I'm really sad about this as its a really practical under the radar bag with the option for cross body as well as hand carry, an option .

Water does not leave any marks on barenia. I have a halzan 31 in both clemence and barenia. The one in clemence is more slouchy but made of pretty tough leather. It does not scratch or scuff easily. On the other hand, my barenia halzan has more structure and can be used in the rain.
