It's like comparing a Corvette to a Ferrari: both do the job, but one is practically hand-made vs a fine but mid-market product. Jaeger-LeCoultre is just behind the Big Three (Patek, AP, & VC) in both stature and reputation.

The Polaris Automatic is a straightforward watch that is all about expressing the new Polaris design in a sort of "daily driver" style. The watch has a 41mm stainless steel case, making it the smallest watch in the collection by a millimeter – the Polaris Date, Memovox, and Chronograph are all 42mm. Just curious on opinions of the JLC Polaris stainless steel (no date) blue dial vs VC 56 stainless steel blue dial. What would be the better buy in terms of calibre, and most suited as a business casual/everyday watch? thanks in advance! In that case, the Polaris offers a distinctive and very JLC take on the idea of a sporty chronograph, one that leans more towards casual elegance rather than outright toolishness. Like an SUV with ample ride height and 4WD, but also extended leather and big chrome wheels.
The Jaeger LeCoultre Polaris is an extremely easy choice to get behind. It’s big enough to have a good presence on the wrist, and small enough to fit even more slender wrist sizes (and tuck under a shirt cuff). Despite a complex movement, the Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Perpetual Calendar is easy to operate and adjust (not that this is often necessary by any stretch). The top crown rotates the Polaris’ hallmark inner bezel, which is used for measuring elapsed time, while the lower crown sets the time and winds the watch.
These timepieces are the three-hand automatic, chronograph, chronograph world time and two models that have very close ties to the original Memovox Polaris; the Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Date and the Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Memovox. Overall Rating: 8.75/10. Value for money: 8/10. Wearability: 9/10. Design: 9/10. Build quality: 9/10. The Polaris is a quiet hit for Jaeger-LeCoultre in my opinion, and the new Chronograph released at the start of September was a nice surprise to most.Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Chronograph Review - Reference #9022450. Luckily, it’s priced correctly and can often be found for under $40. Nose: What a surprise, it smells like Dewar’s! Specifically, a bevy of tropical fruits: kiwi, coconut, exotic citrus, unripe banana, and a very tart passion fruit or papaya or something. Some mild florals, and a light bed of sweet malt round out this very Highland profile.
