Panerai now comes in a "dimunitive" 38mm, and a more wearable 42mm, and this model still comes in the "common" 45mm size too. Now I know you guys would say - but Panerai has already made a 42mm size before even the due is released. Of the six new Panerai Luminor Due watches, the PAM00964 is probably my least favorite, but that’s due to the dial complexity. Whether today or 20 years ago, I’ve always struggled to turn my attention away from the more basic models from the brand. Unmistakably inspired by the styling of the original Luminor, the Panerai Luminor Due is a contemporary reinterpretation of that classic model from the ’50s. The new version has a slimmer case and a modern in-house movement with a micro-rotor for automatic winding. The 904 belongs to the Lumimor Due series and is one of the newer Panerai models that doesn't fit in with the brand's DNA, not only because of its smaller size of 42mm. When I spotted a 904 in M2M last week, however, I couldn't help myself and pulled the trigger.
Jorg takes a deep look at the best Panerai watches from the 1990s with some real classics. Featuring the Luminor and the Mare Nostrum.
I am excited to share my new watch and also the first Panerai I’ve ever owned. This is the Luminor Due PAM00904 automatic, a 42mm by 10mm Luminor “dress watch”. A Panerai that slips easily under the cuff! Can it be true? Meet the Panerai Luminor Due 3 Days GMT Power Reserve Automatic Acciaio - 45mm. The 904 can really get a fancy shine. Also if you wait 7 days to wind it, it takes forever to wind it, but it's 4x the PR of your typical watch so I can understand that. That's about it, I really enjoy the watch, and feel it fits me well. The Panerai Luminor Due PAM00904 was introduced at SIHH 2018. It features a stainless steel case and an anthracite dial with sunburst finish. It is motivated by the OP XXXIV caliber. Exists with both OP XXXIV as wel as the updated P.900 movement.
